Skills Needed:
Strong interpersonal skills, embracing the philosophy of the Food Bank with diplomacy
and tact.
Self-motivated, outgoing, and organized.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and independently.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer skills including data entry and website management.
Ability to lift 35-pound boxes and stock shelves.
Must be 15 to 30 years old, enrolled in secondary or post-secondary school.
Job Duties:
Reception duties including front desk, answering phone, and welcoming clients.
Data entry, preparing word documents, website management.
Prepare meals with staff and volunteers in community kitchen.
Travel within Centre Wellington and Guelph, with staff, is required to pick up food
donations from community partners.
Be a community liaison for the Food Bank.
Mentorship provided by the Board of Directors and supervision provided by Manager.
Hours & Pay:
$18.55 per hour, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks with the option to extend.
Main work hours are Monday to Friday with some flexibility needed on Wednesdays
and occasional weekends.
Start Date is May 13, 2024 but we are somewhat flexible and with the option to be extended.
