Skills Needed:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, embracing the philosophy of the Food Bank with diplomacy

    and tact.

  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and organized.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and independently.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Computer skills including data entry and website management.

  • Ability to lift 35-pound boxes and stock shelves.

  • Must be 15 to 30 years old, enrolled in secondary or post-secondary school.

Job Duties:

  • Reception duties including front desk, answering phone, and welcoming clients.

  • Data entry, preparing word documents, website management.

  • Prepare meals with staff and volunteers in community kitchen.

  • Travel within Centre Wellington and Guelph, with staff, is required to pick up food

    donations from community partners.

  • Be a community liaison for the Food Bank.

  • Mentorship provided by the Board of Directors and supervision provided by Manager.


Hours & Pay:

  • $18.55 per hour, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks with the option to extend.

  • Main work hours are Monday to Friday with some flexibility needed on Wednesdays

    and occasional weekends.

  • Start Date is May 13, 2024 but we are somewhat flexible and with the option to be extended.
